I have been on here for four years...

And THIS is my first post?!?

I started this blog so that I could work on my writing skills...they aren't all that wonderful, according to my boss. I have been told, however, that I know how to tell a great story in print.

So which is it? I will let you be the judge of that.

Jenny the Bloggess has been quite the inspiration for me. It is nice to see that there are other people that enjoy the same kinds of things that I do, and she is a great source for awesome things on the internet. I only hope I could be half as inspiring to someone as she has been to me. Cheers, Bloggess!

I guess this is where I get started with this blog, eh?

In about 15 minutes I am heading to get my first tattoo. I have held off up until now because I have always said that I needed to want the design for years before I would get it. It has been 5 years, so I think that is good.

Besides, I have spent the last 36 years scarring my body accidentally, so I figure having one that I did on purpose would be acceptable.

I am nervous.

One of my friends has quite a few tattoos, and he has recommended my tattoo artist. He says that this guy is a geek like us, so his work will be exactly what I am looking for. The question is, should I trust a guy named "Liarfish"?
